WHO WE ARE

OUR FAMILY
We are Anthony, Aimee, and Olivia Mason – the owners of MJH Family Farm. Our story began over 10 years ago with the need to establish different eating habits due to newly discovered food allergies. With the sudden need to carefully review every food label, grocery shopping became more tedious. Keeping things simple and trash was certainly appealing to a busy young family. This led us to a local farmers market where we learned it you want to eat quality food that was responsibly grown or raised, you either need to know your farmer or you need to grow or raise it yourself. We took that as a challenge and decided to do both! There was just one problem…as two kids from suburbia, neither one of us knew how to keep a house plant alive let alone arow our own food. So. we decided to learn. In 2016, we broke ground on our first growing space and what a journey it’s been so far!

















FARM MANAGERS
Ken and Hazel Fox both grew up around farms in Michigan and North Carolina respectively. They later homesteaded with their family for 12 years in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of Georgia. After relocating to the Springfield area in 2013, they began volunteering with Millsap Farm, another local farm that works to provide organic produce to the communitv. In 2006, they approached us and offered to share their knowledge and experience with us as we began MJH and in 2019 officially assumed the role of Farm Manager.
